Starting The Fire
If anyone says that Netflix cannot change your life, then they are lying. I first fell in love with fire cooking on my couch watching TV while procrastinating school work in college. While scrolling through the endless list of shows, I found a documentary following a South American chef and his adventures cooking with fire. It was love at first sight. I had to try it myself. When my wife and I got a fire pit as a wedding present, we decided to put it to good use. The first meal we cooked was a nice skirt steak with some homemade chimichurri sauce. It must have been beginners luck because it tasted delicious. From that moment on, I decided that if I was grilling, then I was grilling over a fire.
We started the Instagram, Over the Fire Cooking, to document our fire cooking adventures. We wanted to share with the world this wonderful and ancient style of grilling. Soon enough, we had fellow fire enthusiasts sending us photos and videos of them cooking over the fire. We quickly found that people wanted to learn and explore what it means to cook with fire. With a background in data analytics, our following started to grow rapidly! Now we have expanded to writing our own recipes, giving fire cooking tips, creating amazing photos, and advertising on multiple social media platforms.
Come join us on our journey as we bring fire, food, and people together!
